03 - Spread the cheese mixture evenly across the bottom of an 8-inch oven-safe baking dish.
04 - Pour marinara sauce over the cheese layer, spreading to create an even coating.
05 - Sprinkle remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese over the sauce layer.
06 - Layer beef pepperoni slices across the top. Add green bell pepper and black olives if desired.
07 - Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is bubbly.
08 - Let stand for 5 minutes to set. Serve warm accompanied by baguette slices, pita chips, breadsticks, or crackers.
